The Director of Technology, Digital is responsible for the success of their Domain and works directly with the Product Area Managers to support the product teams to meet all objectives of Group Technology in terms of value delivery, quality and other key performance objectives. The Director of Technology is accountable for the end-to-end product life cycle of their product cluster and management of the associated product teams.

The China Digital domain spans across multiple product areas such as Client Engagement (Marketing automation, Customer 360, …), Social Interaction Channels (WeChat mini-programs), Online Interaction Channels (eCommerce, Alibaba Pavillon Flagship Stores, Customer Relationship Center applications) and Omnichannel Foundations (OMS). Product areas address the needs of multiple Maisons (Watches & Jewelry and Fashion & Accessories ones). The portfolio will further evolve and extend in the coming months and years along with our New Retail strategy.


o Act as a strategic partner to the Business stakeholders in order to best respond to their requirements
o Ensuring the Product Area Managers have a shared understanding of the product cluster and that the understanding also exists within and outside of Group Technology
o Supervise that all roadmaps are expertly delivered and maintained, according to quality, performance, security & compliance policy
  • Successfully manage and develop a sizeable product-based organisation across multiple client-facing capabilities where you always put the client first
  • Carefully manage the budget through the lenses of business value
  • Ensuring on time and on budget delivery of all initiatives and provide ongoing visibility to senior management
  • Supervise the definition of the Group Technology delivery roadmap on a product cluster level and ensure alignment with business requirements
o Orchestrates internal and external multi-functional stakeholders to define Group Technology Product Area Roadmaps
o Helps the PO to include GT technical requirements in the backlog (not prioritized by the Business PO) liaising closely with the Product Owner (version upgrade, decommissioning, technical debt reduction, …)
o Participates in the governance processes that enable prioritization of initiatives, features, and user stories
  • Supervise the management of the group technology capabilities of the product areas including internal/external/technical resources
o Monitor budget allocation of the product areas consolidated from the budget of the Products Managed by PO, participates to portfolio governance
o Supervise the management of external providers in line with Group Technology sourcing strategy
o Manages directly the Product Area Manager team in the Product Cluster
o Conduct and effectively implement the individual performance management process for the product cluster as well as the compensation reviews
o Supports programmes impacting his/her product area
  • Supervise that delivery excellence & continuous improvement processes
o Defines & drives delivery KPIs. Produces timely, detailed summaries & high-level reports
o Ensure the continuous improvement of the teams
o Promotes delivery methodologies consistent with overall Group Technology objectives & specific product requirements
  • Supervise management of delivery risks, impediments, and dependencies
  • Establish & facilitate cross product area governance in line with the operating model
  • Represent the Product Cluster (and business) in the DDA (Domain Design Authority) or equivalent Domain level Architecture authority
  • Accountable for providing and operating products that are meeting Group's Security and Group Risk and Compliance requirements
  • Accountable for Release Management and Support targets are being met for the Product Cluster
  • Accountable for the cluster meeting, its targets for the use and utilisation of the tools and processes defined by DevOps
  • 10+ years of management experience, including multinational environment
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Business or Management
  • Strong experience in technology delivery management including packaged software implementation across the product cluster
  • Knowledge of software development/product lifecycle and delivery methodologies
  • Passionate about innovation and obsessed about customer experience and client centricity
  • Product management experience is an asset
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment, with strong knowledge of Agile principles (certifications is an asset)
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
  • Demonstrated leadership, people management skills and team empowerment
  • Proven track record of successful change management implementation and fostering learning culture
  • Good understanding of the organization's goals and objectives
  • Ability to present ideas in a user-friendly or executive language
  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment and make sound decisions in emergency situations
  • Highly self-motivated and focused
  • Autonomous, being able to learn quickly in a complex environment
  • Proficiency in English is mandatory
  • Consulting experience is an asset
