What you’ll do:

The Software Engineer (Java) is an integral part of a cross-functional squad, responsible for design, build, test, and support of applications. They will have a strong understanding of the Agile delivery methodology in compliance with the Engineering Handbook SDLC guidelines.

On your way to becoming a master builder, in this role you will develop high-quality, fit-for-purpose software, consistent with Equifax’s global engineering standards. The role is highly technical and requires the ability to work in an agile environment.

Reporting to the Application Engineering Lead, the Engineer embodies asset ownership by consistently improving software systems, resolving technical debt, promoting reuse, maintaining quality, and implementing reliability. Equifax is an extremely data rich and technology driven place, you will be working in a multidisciplinary environment. In addition to supporting international products, we’re at the beginning of a major digital transformation, migrating onto the Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This is a huge transformation and an opportunity to be on the ground floor of or something exciting, while also learning a some new and emerging technology you will be joining a very close knit, highly motivated team who thrive in a collaborative space with regional and global teams. What are we looking for?

Java expertise are essential

Microservices experience is a must (including monitoring, logging, scalability, availability, performance)

Java frameworks (Spring boot, Spring cloud, Spring, Spring boot Microservices)

Experience with building RESTful APIs

Containerization (Docker), Kubernetes

Experience with Cloud technologies

Experience with NoSQL databases (any)

Reactive programming in Java

Experience with end-to-end CI/CD

Extra points for any of the following:

Angular

JavaScript/HTML/CSS

Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

Experience in batch data processing such as hadoop, beam,etc
