Full Job Description

A new role with a major hospital in Jeddah offering a full time one year contract of employment which is renewable, the best remuneration package in the Kingdom, including accommodation, 40 days annual leave and more and a stimulating role with clinical challenge and educational opportunities.

The hospital has 500+ beds, JCI USA international accreditation and provides a full range of medical, surgical, paediatric and psychiatric services supported by laboratory, radiology and anaesthesia services. It has a 24 / 7 emergency department treating adults and children and intensive care services for adult medical, surgical and cardiac patients and paediatric and neonatal patients.

Key Duties
  • Work under the direction of the Head of Paediatrics to provide, in conjunction with other paediatric intensivists, clinical leadership of a team of paediatricians providing intensive medical care to children.
  • Perform assessments of patients admitted to ICU and strategies for their management
  • Supervise specialists and residents and provide training and education for their professional development and postgraduate exams
  • Working Week Sunday - Thursday with on call duties
Requirements: Qualifications, Skills, Experience
  • Medical degree and board certification in Paediatrics from USA, Canada, Western Europe, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa
  • Fellowship or subspecialist training in paediatric intensive care medicine
  • Valid and unrestricted medical licence in jurisdiction of current practice
  • Ideally you should have experience working as a consultant / attending physician in paediatric ICU
  • Fluent English language
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a multidisciplinary team
  • Experience educating junior medical staff
  • Data Flow Report advantageous
  • Arabic language fluency helpful
